It’s been years since I’ve heard from you! Or I just haven’t gotten your messages. Probably the latter, I keep ending up on deep space assignments where we don’t exactly have comm buoys. But still, it’s great to hear from you again!
Okay, so before I say anything else, I just heard from Eddie. Did you know he was having those kind of problems on his posting? That crew sounds like a bunch of… you know. But really, has his CO not noticed or is he just unfortunately stuck because of his skills? If you ask me, I think that he should seriously look for a new post. If Bravo’s CMO wasn’t so stuck in his place (and if Admiral Shelby wasn’t so stubborn), I’d totally see if I could get him a job here.
To answer your original letter, and before I get totally distracted, that deep space assignment the Trident went on was amazing! I swear, the old cliché about things we’ve never seen before totally applied! We discovered so many new things, I swear we almost broke a record. Captain Mueller kept insisting that the Titan and the other Luna-class ships had that record, but I stand by my beliefs! I’ve attached all the reports because I am horrible at explaining things.
And yes, Admiral Shelby is amazing, if stubborn. The most popular thing I’ve heard in regards to her is to never, ever, interrupt any private “conferences”, though I didn’t get what that meant until another Betazoid sent me a telepathic message on what that really meant. I won’t share it, but I’ll just say I’ve been warned and I do not ever plan on interrupting any “conferences” unless hell has broken loose.
Okay, I’ve gotta run now. Lieutenant Cris is yelling for my attention about something. That kid should still be a cadet… Well, until next time!
And by all the deities, tell Elena that I don’t give a damn about what happened years ago! She’s been so annoying about it lately.
