I almost put your message in my spam box, but I caught myself by reminding myself it would be rude not to reply. And, one of my nurses was about to scold me for being rude, so I decided to be a good person for once. As I don’t have much time, I’ll be brief.
I got tired of telling you it’s just Eddie, so I gave up. You are one helluva persistent Vulcan, y’know that? And I don’t need to quote them regs when I outrank every single one of those sorry bastards. Yeah, do you folks have any openings for CMO where you’re serving? Because I hate my job. Maybe ask Elena if she knows anyone in need of a CMO, because like I said, I hate my job because of these annoyingly small minded people. One of them even had the gall to comment on my wedding picture, making some derogatory and really old-fashioned comment about my having a husband. What is the problem with that? David is a phenomenal guy and I’m ranting again, aren’t I?
Anyway, while it’s been great hearing from you, I should probably get back to work before that snotty XO starts to yell at me for slacking off again. S/he could take a dose of hir own medicine, because I don’t see hir getting up and dealing with everything from the common cold to a pipe in someone’s abdominal cavity. Typical command officers, if you ask me. And don’t tell Elena I said that either, or she would hunt me down and probably kill me.
Well, I suppose I’ll see you around the next time we all get together. And I had better meet that boy of yours at some point, because of the last ten messages I’ve gotten from Elena, over half of them talk about how well-mannered the kid is. Poor thing, having to put up with you for a parent. That’d sure drive me to drink. Oh wait, I already drink!
Okay, I’ve rambled on enough. I’ve got better things to do and so do you.

T'Kirr says: Love your series and different voices. Each one is very distinct and it makes for believable realism. Quite the network of people you’ve got going so far. The universe we’re in feels a little bit bigger. =P

Wonderful dialogue – I can really hear this being spoken aloud, it’s so realistic. Great series!
