T’Kirr as Alex Nolan, with Kiley Airell
“I have a lot of new faces to get to know,” Alex Nolan commented with a sigh, as if his work is cut out for him. He tapped the console, looking over yet another medical file of yet another crew mate.
Kiley chuckled at Nolan’s comment. “Yes, that tends to happen when you’re first assigned to a ship. Trust me, it’ll get easier. I have a friend who really enjoys that part of starting a new assignment. He finds it great getting to know new people. That’s why he never stays in the same place very long.”
Nolan came across T’Kirr’s file, paying extra attention to it as he had on all the senior officer files before. It was always good pay more attention to your superiors. “Hey, what do you know, it’s Commander T’Kirr’s birthday.” He scanned over the file further, wondering if he could tell what kind of person she was by her biological information. “I don’t suppose she normally gives that information out,” he added, smirking, having noted the entry under the Species category.
Kiley looked up from what she was doing, “No, she does not. I don’t think birthdays are all that important to her, or most Vulcans for that matter. However…” She hesitated for a moment, thinking. “How old is she going to be?”
He pulled up the file again, having already moved on to the next person’s. “Fifty,” he said with a hint of surprise, eyebrows going up. “What is that human years? Wait wait, I should know this…” he trailed off in thought.
“Fifty, huh? That’s too good to pass up. I’m sure she’ll be as annoyed as Vulcans get when Terrans try to make a big deal out of anything. However…” she hesitated again, and then grinned, “I think I’ll make her annoyed at someone else. She can’t exactly argue with the Captain. Well, she could, but it wouldn’t do her any good. I should know! He keeps avoiding his physical, no matter what I say to him.”
A broad grin spread over Nolan’s face. “Really? That’ll be great! A party is just what I need to get to know the crew better˜before their physicals˜that might actually help them stop by when they’re supposed to. I hate rescheduling.”
Kiley laughed, “Get use to it. I’m going to go talk to the Captain. He’ll probably be relieved to know I’m not calling to get him to schedule an appointment.” She headed to her office.
