Atlantis hummed ever so quietly as she floated within the gravity well created by a tripod of asteroids, the low power disguising the real state of her ailing systems. She couldn’t get to full power if she wanted to, but right now, she could rest as her crew took stock of the situation.
T’Kirr drew in a deep, slow breath as she slowly wandered the Bridge with deceptive calm from one station to another, peering over the shoulders of working crewmen. She passed behind Blackthorne as he concentrated on his animated conversation with an engineer, sensing the stress emanating from him as she went. She projected focus and clarity as best she could to him, still seeing herself as quite untrained when it came to what she perceived as the aggressive side to psyche activities but knowing she could only do good. She was rewarded with a light touch to her mind, a brief reply of gratefulness spared between sentences concerning power conduits to the shield generators. He turned his head directly at her, as if knowing right where she was, and met her eyes with an intimate sparkle to his own, just for her. It was gone in less than a second, replaced with the weight of command once again as he turned back to the engineer.
She moved on, intercepting a nervous-looking ensign with a PADD destined for Blackthorne and listened to his report. The least she could do was help carry that weight of command, helping to ensure Atlantis and her crew would make it through another perilous day.

Very nice touch in all the chaos, like an eye in the storm.
