Personal Log, Stardate 11501.28
Posted on January 30th, 2015 by T'Lira

The Atlantis has come into contact with what I can only describe as a catastrophe. The world we now orbit may as well be a series of asteroids. I predict that the extreme tectonic shifts the planet is experiencing now have a high probability of tearing the planet apart. The sensor probe only returned dismal readings. I admit to… fear for what may happen to the planet. No sentient being deserves to lose a home and I do wish that these people will not lose their home. I have detected a massive network of power relays that appear to be feeding an installation that is generating large amounts of antiprotons. The feedback waves were dangerous, but we appear to be in a safe zone now, at least for the moment. I am not entirely sure of what is actually occuring on the planetary surface, but that may be for the best. I dislike spending too much of my time contemplating the worst case scenario. Elena would term me an optimist, but I prefer to be a realist. I must end this log now in order to continue working. I have an illogical hope that this mission may be completed without further loss of life, but that is indeed an illogical hope.

Computer, end recording.

(not sure if the stardate is right, but eh. I can barely tell what day of the week it is sometimes.)

I should have just used this log for the mission brief. There’s nothing illogical about compassion.
