(21:34:43) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: in the ready room, going over the latest status reports, and the reports from the rest of Third Fleet, a PADD in each hand ::
(21:35:22) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: in the main science lab, busily doing tasks she probably should have assigned to a subordinate - calibrating instruments, performing inventory, things of this nature - but was dying for something productive to do ::
(21:36:12) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: assisting in the testing of the transporters by monitoring whether or not a simple crate is able to make it to Cargo Bay One or not. ::
(21:37:01) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: wakes up and zombies into the bathroom ::
(21:39:00) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: vomits into the toilet ::
(21:39:33) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: is in an EVA suit, at the rear torpedo launcher, checking various parts of the system. ::
(21:41:16) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: having delivered her reports to Blackthorne, finds herself finally not looking at paperwork and is checking into one of the bugs reported at the Science console ::
(21:41:38) CSO_LCdr_Wright: Computer: Computer, run containment unit sensor diagnostic. :: watches the readout ::
(21:41:45) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: once the nausea subsides, she looks at herself in the mirror, then realizes that was a bad idea ::
(21:43:45) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: notes that there still had been no delivery of new Mustang fighters since they presumably have not yet been built ::
(21:45:27) TAC_2LT_Randen: :: Has a wicked grin on his face as he loads the new order of Quantum torpedoes. These babies are his favorite to use. Using a PADD to move them with the robotic arm to where they needed to go. Except when he had to move them manually. Then he hates them for being so heavy. ::
(21:46:05) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: apparently wasn't done, ends up heaving into the sink, even though her stomach is empty ::
(21:47:16) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: stumbles her way into the shower when that passes ::
(21:47:47) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: most of the transporters are working properly, but number two is taking approximately three point seven eight seconds longer than standard to materialize. That can be easily corrected, with proper repairs. Now, to carry out those repairs. ::
(21:49:06) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: makes minute adjustments to the containment unit sensors and re-runs the diagnostic - while it's running, proceeds to test the containment field emitters ::
(21:50:26) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: scratches her head as she puzzles over the Science console ::
(21:51:10) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: notes that they'll be launching without a full compliment of fighters as an objection in his log ::
(21:53:57) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: emerges from the shower feeling somewhat better, since one can only throw up so much, and showers do have a rejuvenating effect ::
(21:54:57) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: finishes his work, replaces the cover and is all too happy to get inside. Not that he hates EVAs, he just hates EVAs where he can't jump off and float around without getting in trouble. Wolfe makes his way to the airlock, enters it and begins pressurization. ::
(21:55:59) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: finally, is satisfied that this containment unit is ship-shape and casts about for something else to do ::
(21:58:09) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: notes that this transporter console is just mildly in disarray under the panel. The primary difficulty could be that it has not yet been fully reassembled as stated in the reports. It seems the engineeers who were working on it obviously found something of greater need to be attended to. Whatever the case, it should work well once it is fully reassembled
(21:58:10) SCI_LtJG_TLira: again. ::
(21:58:19) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: is finally able to face the mirror and sets about making herself look like not shit ::
(22:01:19) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: is sorting through logs and realizes the timing works out, but she can't be sure :: *CSO* T'Kirr to Wright.
(22:02:06) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: moves back to the Third Fleet assignments and checks out the latest reports ::
(22:02:15) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: taps her communicator :: *XO* Go ahead, Captain.
(22:03:13) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: emerges from the bathroom looking much more like herself, though not yet feeling it, and looks in her closet for something to wear ::
(22:03:16) TAC_2LT_Randen: :: The robotic arm pauses while moving a quantum torpedo. Slaps the PADD on the back. :: Do not even glitch while attached to an explosive... Last thing we need is to blow up the ship from the inside before we launch. :: The arm resumes movement like a computer when it freezes for a moment and resumes. :: Good arm.
(22:05:23) XO_Capt_TKirr: *CSO* It seems the feedback loop at Science on the Bridge was discovered sometime after power was supplied to the tractor system. Since the problem is regarding the deflector dish and the two systems are linked to the same junction just inside the secondary hull, I suspect the problem could be there. Are you free to take a look while I monitor from here?
(22:06:41) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: it seemed that someone had made the console look far more in need of repair than it was. They had simply neglected to fix a few admittedly minor parts that were left in the state of disarray they were in. Quite a relief compared to what could have been an error. Wait... relief? That is most odd... ::
(22:08:59) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: finds no uniforms in her closet, then looks around her bedroom and notices that they're all on the floor, along with several empty bottles ::
(22:09:18) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: very excited about the prospect of doing something interesting, but is much better at keeping her voice calm than when she first arrived :: *XO* Certainly, Captain. Please send the location to my PADD and I'll check on it immediately.
(22:09:53) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: finds everything to be in order with 3F, and finds himself envious of them actually being mostly in the field ::
(22:10:27) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: crosses to the replicator and orders a fresh uniform and some underwear ::
(22:10:50) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: finds Wright's PADD ID in the system, looks up the ship's specs on another screen, and sends Wright the location ::
(22:11:11) XO_Capt_TKirr: *CSO* You should have it now.
(22:13:39) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: checks her PADD and begins navigation, walking briskly out of the lab and down the corridor :: *XO* Thank you, Captain, I'm on my way now. I'll contact you as soon as I get there.
(22:14:03) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: gets dressed and looks around the room, which was gleamingly new not long ago when she moved in, now looks about like she did when she woke up ::
(22:16:01) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: heads out onto the bridge and notices his new chair has been installed ::
(22:18:32) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: starts gathering up dirty uniforms, other clothes, and empty bottles/glasses, and just tossing them into the reclamation bin ::
(22:18:55) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: Heyyyyyyy.... :: crosses to the new chair and sits ::
(22:19:23) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: now that she's not occupied, her mind wanders - as always - back to Kate, becoming aware again of the undercurrent of worry that now fills her waking hours. She barely notices anything around her as she makes her way through corridors, between decks, and finally into tubes. ::
(22:19:36) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: looks up from Science, notices where Blackthorne's attention is, and does a mental eyeroll ::
(22:20:15) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: the transporter tests have now all run as they should, leaving the transporter systems to be marked as ready. The next minor system to fix appears to be replicators. ::
(22:21:34) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: wiggles around a bit, noting the quality of the leather :: Not bad, not bad.
(22:25:01) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: when she reaches the junction, she delays for a moment before forcing her thoughts back to the here and now :: *XO* Wright to T'Kirr. I'm in the junction, Captain. I'm looking for the problem now. You said it was after the tractor beam was powered, correct? And you mentioned the deflector dish? :: pops off the panel and gingerly looks at the connections underneath ::
(22:25:27) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: cleans a bit more, then takes a look around, and heads into the living room once satisfied ::
(22:26:57) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: searches for the problem with interested but tired eyes... she hasn't been sleeping well, either. ::
(22:28:32) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: a diagnostic of the replicator system reveals that while most are functioning, a small number is not. Downloading the list of malfunctioning replicators to her PADD, she sets off to fix them ::
(22:28:38) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: cleans that room up a bit too ::
(22:29:08) XO_Capt_TKirr: *CSO* Yes, I can disable the tractor systems from here, but I can't physically remove its power connection. I could request Engineering to remove it two decks down from you, but they are quite busy at the moment, and I thought perhaps we could solve the problem without doing so from there. If there is a problem where you are, it would be where the systems intersect, probably close to the bulkhead.
(22:33:14) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: heads back into the bedroom for a moment and checks her messages, finds what was left on the screen when last she used it - a letter of resignation ::
(22:34:32) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: sees that T'Kirr is busy and sits down at the helm, checking it out ::
(22:35:08) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: looks at the area near the bulkhead, zeroing in on the problem area quickly now that she knows where to look. Could it really be that simple? :: *XO* I think I might see the problem... Can you disable the tractor system? I think I need to reconfigure these connections.
(22:36:27) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: notes, with some thanks, that she did not send this message ::
(22:37:03) XO_Capt_TKirr: *CSO* :: tap tap :: Tractor system disabled. :: Reconfigure connections, could someone have been that ignorant? ::
(22:37:33) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: the replicators seem to only be afflicted by a minor systems glitch that is confusing some orders. Nothing overly disastrous other than some ruined meals ::
(22:38:23) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: frantically searching for "how to correctly configure power connections diagrams" on PADDipedia ::
(22:39:32) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: starts to delete it, but saves it as a draft instead ::
(22:42:36) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: disconnects the tractor beam power connection, and replaces it with the offending feedback-loop causing thing, connecting the tractor beam to a different port :: *XO* This was so simple that it's very possible I am wrong, but can you try it now please?
(22:45:06) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: checks the mirror once more to make sure she looks presentable, then heads out ::
(22:45:14) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: uses one replicator to send a code correction to all of the others and then proceeds to run another diagnostic ::
(22:46:35) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: checks the specs out on all the new propulsion and maneuvering systems, running sims, and is pleased at the result ::
(22:47:41) XO_Capt_TKirr: ACTION> As T'Kirr enables the tractor system, sparks spray at Wright.
(22:48:35) XO_Capt_TKirr: *CSO* It's still not working.
(22:48:54) CSO_LCdr_Wright: Panel: Gah! :: throws her arms in front of her face and backs away :: *XO* Please disable the tractor system!
(22:50:41) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: the diagnostic is mostly clean this time, with only a relatively small handful of replicators still malfunctioning. Much better ::
(22:52:53) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: disables the tractor system ::
(22:53:17) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: still ducking sparks, waiting for them to stop to disconnect that power coupling ::
(22:55:17) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: when they stop, reaches in to disconnect the power coupling. :: *XO* Okay, the power is disconnected... does the feedback loop still exist?
