(21:22:20) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: testing out the sensors by scanning for everything, right down to the composition of the space dust in the system ::
(21:22:22) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::finishes going over the final few Medical systems down in Sickbay, nodding to the unfamiliar staff - few of them as there are:: Self: I think it's worth putting this to the proper test...::checks his PADD, then hits his comm badge:: *NAV*: Sickbay to Commander Harper.
(21:22:28) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: NAV: Take us to the bomb range dwarf planet.
(21:22:34) CTO_Maj_Wolfe [Bryan@209.63.8.247] entered the room.
(21:22:51) NAV_Cdr_Harper: NAV: Aye sir. :: turns Odyssey toward the dwarf planet indicated ::

(21:25:35) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: from the off-center seat is in the busy process of reviewing many, many user manuals, reading over several "I think this is a bug" and "Is this supposed to be working yet?" reports from departments and comming with engineers still working on the project ::

(21:26:24) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smiles, pleasantly surprised to not have to chase anyone down:: *NAV*: I appreciate it. See you shortly, Commander. Sickbay out.

(21:37:25) TAC_2LT_Randen: CTO: Good shot.
(21:37:39) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: The bones are strong, sir. No hint of a complaint anywhere in the EPS network.
(21:37:45) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::nods again, finishing up his scan on her head and beginning to do a full body sweep:: NAV: You had a slight bit of edema, but that's to be expected after a head injury like yours. (21:38:26) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: nods and smirks :: CMO: I am happy to know that my head is as expected.
(21:39:10) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: Good to know. Some of the upgrades are being installed in Atlantis already during the refit.
(21:39:12) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: does not acknowledge the compliment, instead concentrating on the effects of the phasers and their aftermath, even seconds later ::
(21:39:14) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::glances up from the tricorder and grins at her:: NAV: It's always a good sign. Generally, how have you been feeling?
(21:39:29) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::runs the probe across her shoulder, glancing back down at the tricorder::
(21:40:09) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Normal, I would say.
(21:40:40) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: How did the phasers perform?
(21:40:46) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::moves the probe back over her other shoulder:: NAV: Lie down please. ::waits for her to do so before continuing:: Normal? And what's normal for Commander Harper?
(21:41:44) CEO_LtQuinn: :: Looks back to his screen to hide the frown, truth be told just a little insulted at the implication that he needs to be informed of any aspect of that refit. ::
(21:41:56) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: looks up at the ceiling :: I have energy, my appetite is good, my workouts are productive, and I am very hard to beat at tennis.
(21:42:14) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: checks his readings :: CO: Very well. The target was obliterated, and quite efficiently. The damage done would have required 23% more energy from other phaser banks I have used in the past.
(21:43:05) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Excellent. Bring the quantum torpedoes up.
(21:43:20) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: the sensors have returned exactly what the latest reports from SCE said they would: excellent results. Although, the long range sensors appear to be slightly out of alignment ::
(21:43:40) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::finishes his scans with the tricorder before methodically placing it down on the equipment cart, hitting the button to activate the biobed scanner and watching as it extends over Harper's mid section:: NAV: You have a slight bit of swelling in your joints, I'd assume from the tennis. You push yourself hard it seems. ::smiles, taking any sting out of the words::
(21:43:41) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: checks his station and sees that they are at the ready. :: CO: On your command.
(21:44:15) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: SCI: Launch another spread of beacons, far enough ahead so that we don't have to wait on another orbit.
(21:44:23) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: finds herself distracted entirely from her panel and watches the testing. After all, she needs to know this information as well ::
(21:44:45) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: taps in the sequence :: CO: Beacons launched, sir.
(21:44:59) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: It is not that hard. It is just... me.
(21:45:05) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: makes no indication of the fact that he's actually quite impressed that Randen already had the torpedoes ready to go ::
(21:45:20) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Fire when ready.
(21:46:24) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: Is the slipstream drive ready for a test flight?
(21:46:44) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smiles down at her and nods:: NAV: I guess that's normal, then. ::picks up a hypospray of activated particles, pressing it lightly to her neck then checking the readout on the scanner:: I just hit you with a medical-dye, it'll spread through your cardiovasular system and the scanner here will pick up any issues with blood flow or blockages.
(21:46:51) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: raises an eyebrow ::
(21:47:06) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: eyes the arch over her and waits :: CMO: Alright.
(21:47:06) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: sitting in her office, having just come to a conclusion after a long debate with herself, and reaches down to the console to signal the Bridge :: *Bridge* Wright to Bridge.
(21:47:13) XO_Capt_TKirr: CO: ~eager, aren't we?~
(21:48:31) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Aye. Torpedoes away. :: fires the first quantum torpedo, which glides through the space ahead of them and hits the beacon he had decided to use as the single shot. With that shot complete a moment later, he fires the spread of the remaining torpedoes and watches as, miliseconds apart and imperceptible to even his acute eyes, one by one each hones true to its target, seemingly at the same time. ::
(21:48:31) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: XO: ~As if I could hide it from you anyway.~
(21:48:53) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: Aye, sir. We've stress checked the surge protection twice, and the secondary intertial dampening field is online, functioning as specified. It's on, and as jolt proofed as we know how to make it.
(21:49:20) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: Excellent. We'll test it as soon as the active target weapons tests are completed.
(21:49:27) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Performance analysis?
(21:50:07) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::monitors the readout, narrowing his eyes slightly as he glances from the scanner to her:: NAV: Hmmm...all good, so far. You had Genitronic implants several years ago, correct?
(21:51:06) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Yes. Dr. Carre replaced a few of my organs after I was hit several times with disruptor fire. :: unconsciously rubs her abdomen where one of the wounds was ::
(21:51:36) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Information still coming in... Yes. First torpedo struck precisely on target. Of the other seven, only one missed its mark by four millimeters. What is the phrase? 'Close enough for government work'? :: remains dead serious through the last part. ::
(21:51:39) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: hears the hail and notes that the others are quite occupied :: *CSO* Bridge here. :: trying to align the long range sensors ::
(21:52:05) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Note that misalignment.
(21:52:17) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Aye.
(21:52:31) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smiles, nodding slightly, recognising the baseline signature in the DNA:: NAV: They're all looking good. ::glances back at the scanner again:: Although you have a slight narrowing in your arterial walls, in your left arm and both legs. ::picks up a vascular regenerator, making some adjustments:: Won't take long to fix.
(21:53:25) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: glances at the thing out of the corner of her eye :: CMO: That is not a problem, yes?
(21:53:25) CSO_LCdr_Wright: *Bridge* Ah, Lieutenant. I am actually calling because I wish to borrow you for a short while. Can you step away to join me in my office? :: her voice calm and even, all business ::
(21:54:08) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::sets it to Harper's specific biosigns and begins running the device along the affected areas:: NAV: Nooo, not at all. Incredibly minor, but it's probably what was causing that slight swelling after exercise.
(21:54:31) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: is that some apprehension that she feels at the moment? :: *CSO* On my way, Commander. :: sets the sensors to an automatic diagnostic. :: CO: Permission to leave the bridge for a short time, sir?
(21:54:38) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Alright. :: settles back down ::
(21:54:45) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: SCI: Granted.
(21:54:52) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: XO: Take Ops, Captain.
(21:55:02) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: nods and heads for the turbolift, instructing it on where to go ::
(21:55:10) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::finishes up:: NAV: There. Good as new. ::puts the device back down on the tray and deactivates the scanner, watching as it retracts:: Okay, now feet up on the pumps and start pushing. I'll start you off slow, but I want a good sixty seconds.
(21:55:25) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: stands and briskly strides to Ops, a bit eagerly ::
(21:55:44) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: puts her feet up on the pumps and starts them going easily since she doesn't skip leg day ::
(21:55:48) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::adjusts a few settings to give her a workout, then sets the timer:: NAV: I was posted to a Klingon vessel once - I had to make the crew run around the Sickbay to get their heart rate up.
(21:56:27) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: laughs a little :: CMO: That image is comical.
(21:56:46) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: breaks orbit and heads a bit into empty space ::
(21:56:59) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: XO: Launch drone targets programmed for high evasives.
(21:57:00) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: rereads the message on her PADD for the umpteenth time while she waits for T'Lira to arrive ::
(21:57:17) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: steps out of the TL, and heads straight for the office, pressing the chime ::
(21:57:37) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::grins widely, seeing absolutely zero change in Harper's heart rate and dialling up the difficulty:: NAV: It was fantastic to watch, although hard to adjust the sensitivity.
(21:58:09) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: at the sounds of the chime, sets the PADD down and folds her hands on the desk in front of her, making sure she is wearing her game face :: Come.
(21:58:28) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: notes that it just got harder and pushes harder to compensate :: CMO: Could you not have them bat'leth fight or whatever it is they do for fun?
(21:58:28) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: brings up the reference directive marked "High Evasives" and sends it off to be initiated ::
(21:58:36) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: takes a deep breath and walks in :: CSO: You requested to see me, Commander?
(21:58:43) XO_Capt_TKirr: Bridge: Launching now.
(21:58:51) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Stand by for targets.
(21:59:32) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Standing by.
(21:59:39) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: Lieutenant. Please have a seat. :: gestures at the seat across from her :: I am certain you know why I wished to speak with you.
(21:59:50) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smirks as he waits another ten seconds then dials it up again:: NAV: At least they would have been in Sickbay when someone inevitably lost an arm or an eye.
(22:00:26) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: sits and quashes that bit of apprehension that cropped up :: CSO: I am sure I can presume as to why, yes.
(22:00:36) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: finds himself impressed with how quickly the torpedos are reloaded on this ship. ::

(22:02:15) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::watches the heart rate monitor begin rising very slowly with a chuckle:: NAV: I'll tell you one thing, Commander, you certainly take care of yourself. ::bumps the difficulty up twice more:: That should do it. Another thirty seconds

(22:04:09) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::grabs his tricorder again and starts running a cardiovascular scan, noting the better flow and watching her vitals change in the expected way::
(22:05:14) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: is pleased with the weapon test ::
(22:06:01) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Well done!
(22:06:33) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: a light sheen of sweat appears on her brow as she gives the leg pedals what for ::
(22:06:57) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: XO: One more set, highest evasive difficulty.
(22:07:20) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::continues monitoring with a nod:: NAV: Looking good, Commander. A few more seconds.
(22:07:43) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: I can do this all day, doctor. :: lies ::
(22:07:44) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: As your commanding officer, part of my job is to evaluate your performance. My observations have shown me that you're a competent, conscientious officer who excels in her duties. I was surprised to learn of your lapse in judgment that led to your current... medical condition.
(22:08:15) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: keeps pumping, feeling it, but could go on for quite a while ::
(22:08:38) SCI_LtJG_TLira: CSO: I was equally surprised, sir.
(22:09:12) XO_Capt_TKirr: Bridge: Launching.
(22:09:28) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smirks, nodding as he saves the scans and files them away:: NAV: I don't doubt it. That should do - everything looks good, we'll just make sure you're up to date on your vaccinations and your shots then you can get back to the Bridge.
(22:10:25) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: stops, breathing a little harder ::
(22:10:37) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: OK, let's see what you can do with those.
(22:11:44) CEO_LtQuinn: :: Scans and re-scans the energy pathways as the readings spike with the weapons discharges, looking with borderline fanaticism for any drain or temperature elevation that falls beyond the standard deviations. So far, nada. ::
(22:11:47) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: For the duration of your condition, your duties will be limited to keep you away from any hazardous materials present in the lab environments, for the safety of you and the fetus. You are also ordered to keep me apprised of any medical directives to stay off of your feet or rest and your duty schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
(22:12:30) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::deactives the cardio pumps and watches them retract into the wall bringing up her vitals on the monitor again:: NAV: Okay, Commander, sit up if you please. ::drags over the compound cart, pulling out a hypo and loading it with a cartridge::
(22:12:31) SCI_LtJG_TLira: CSO: Aye sir. I will do so when such directives are issued.
(22:13:48) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: sits up, figuring that she might skip leg day tomorrow, at least :: CMO: Back to the bridge after a shower, perhaps.
(22:13:57) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Aye. :: watches the beacons for a bit, programs each torpedo with the algorithms to be able to track the beacon for which he has selected it and in the way he wants it to hit, and then fires them, seemingly haphazardly if you watch how they leave the ship. He almost laughs at how it must look really funny to anyone watching, especially as they disappear off into the distance ::
(22:15:03) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: keeps the Odyssey within range of the darting drones, impressed with the maneuverability of such a large ship ::
(22:15:35) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::chuckles, pressing the hypo to her neck and injecting it lightly:: NAV: I'm sure the Admiral won't mind. Just a booster on your current vaccines there, we've also got a few new ones to add to the docket. ::loads another cartridge, this one for a nasty Bolian plague that managed to infect a few ships last year::
(22:16:03) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: leans her head to the side as she gets hypoed repeatedly ::
(22:16:03) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: I also feel that it is appropriate to assign disciplinary duty. As such, I will offer you your choice of two options. Option 1: Upon completion of the science lab refit aboard Atlantis, you will perform a full and thorough inventory of lab supplies and equipment, including inspecting and testing each individual component and ordering replacements when necessary. That is option 1.
(22:17:33) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: suddenly, without any warning, the viewscreen is filled with fire as all the beacons explode simultaneously, each torpedo having found its mark at exactly the same moment. In his mind, Wolfe crosses that off his bucket list. ::
(22:17:42) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::gets into a routine, going through the cartridges one by one as he talks:: NAV: We should be done shortly, Commander. I'll do up the paperwork and you'll be fully cleared for duty within the hour.
(22:18:24) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: finds herself entertained by the weapon effects ::
(22:18:35) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: chuckles :: CTO: Nice touch.
(22:19:15) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: smirks a bit:: CO: Aye. I will neither confirm nor deny that I was a pyromaniac as a child.
(22:20:08) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Overall performance of the weapons systems?
(22:20:17) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: starts checking the QSD interface ::
(22:20:22) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Thank you doctor.
(22:20:56) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: :: scans the wreckage and makes a final check of the telemetry from the torpedos :: CO: Everything went exactly the way I wanted. All weapons true.
(22:21:17) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Log everything for the R&D folks. That's enough weapons testing for now.
(22:21:26) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::loads the last cartridge and presses it to her upper shoulder for this one:: NAV: And we're all done. ::starts tucking all of the equipment away, putting the empty cartridges in a container for disposal:: I also gave you your C-shot seeing as you were due anyway.
(22:21:36) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Aye. :: hides his disappointment ::
(22:22:04) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: Option 2: Throughout the duration of your condition, beginning immediately, you will take meticulous measurements of your vitals and your changing physical, mental, and emotional condition as well as any other information you deem relevant and use the data to prepare a publishable paper on your experience with Vulcan/Human reproduction.
(22:23:03) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: I thought that you might. :: hops off the biobed :: So I am fit as a griddle?
(22:23:11) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: makes note of the launch sequence and sends the log to herself to file with the rest of the reports ::
(22:23:49) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: XO: Make the ship ready for slipstream flight.
(22:23:56) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Shields up.
(22:24:00) XO_Capt_TKirr: CO: Aye.
(22:24:32) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: mentally constructs a pros and cons chart, debating the benefits of inventory duty over those of a scientific paper on a topic that has not had much qualitative data. That all but decides it. :: CSO: I believe I will choose the second option. Research could possibly provide more data as to how exactly interspecies reproduction works.
(22:25:49) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: commands the computer to compute a quantum slipstream solution to Gencodia ::
(22:25:54) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: Shields are up.
(22:26:00) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: takes note of the upgraded Slipstream Interface from Atlantis, as this ship's design clearly was made to support it. Like a new OS ::
(22:26:13) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::nods, logging the last of the records and sending a copy to SFM as well as to the official ship's records, then turning around to face her:: NAV: Fit, as you say, a griddle. Your head injury was noteworthy, but nothing serious and there are no lasting effects, and your physical came out perfect. I can't see why there was a note on your record at all, so I've cleared it.
(22:27:17) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: smiles :: CMO: I appreciate that, doctor. It was... problematic.
(22:27:23) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: runs through the slipstream checklist quicker than ever :: CO: Ready for slipstream.
(22:27:47) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: notes how much easier the checklist is :: XO: I'll miss the go/no-go polling and shipwide announcements.
(22:27:57) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: ::: takes the Odyssey to warp one ::
(22:28:06) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::waves a hand dismissively and gives her a smile:: NAV: I'd have kept it on there if it was serious. You're cleared for duty, Commander, and as lovely as your company was I hope I don't see you in here for at least another year.
(22:28:19) XO_Capt_TKirr: CO: You would.
(22:28:36) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: the corners of her lips turn upward in a faint smile :: SCI: I had rather hoped you would choose that option. Let me be clear; I will not order you to actually publish this paper, as I realize the information is very personal. You MAY publish it if you wish, but my orders are simply that you prepare it. Let me know how much time you need daily for your measurements and observations and I will work it into your duty
(22:28:59) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: Permission to supplement this console with my own equipment so as to better monitor stability of ship systems and the passageway itself, sir.
(22:29:01) XO_Capt_TKirr: CO: I however appreciate the increase in efficiency and response time.
(22:29:28) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: Granted. I'll engage the slipstream in one minute.
(22:29:41) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Thanks again, doctor. The feeling is mutual. No offense, but pilots tend to distrust doctors since they tend to find reasons we can not fly. You seem to break that mold a bit, though.
(22:29:46) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: Thank you, sir.
(22:29:53) CSO_LCdr_Wright: SCI: Do you have any further questions or concerns for me in my capacity as your superior officer at this time?
(22:30:33) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: lifts her eyebrow ever so slightly :: CSO: As I do find myself moderately proficient at multitasking, I do not believe any time will need to be taken from my duty schedule. Such data can also be gathered before my shift. And no, I have no further questions or concerns.
(22:30:42) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: powering up the QSD as the target point approaches, the computer having delivered its solution ::
(22:31:20) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::chuckles, tidying away his cart and dropping the disposables into the replicator:: NAV: Trust me, I'd rather have you out there keeping everyone safe than in here stewing because you stubbed your toe.
(22:31:31) CEO_LtQuinn: :: Keys in a pre-selected sequence, to tranfer all relevant information to his wrist holo-tool, then spins his chair around, facing out toward the bridge. The push of a button later, multiple screens are floating in the air around in him, color coded and waiting for inputs.::
(22:31:39) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: monitors the slipstream initialization process, watching carefully for any anomalies ::
(22:31:57) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: engages the slipstream, and the tunnel forms ahead of them ::
(22:32:29) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: Then we are in agreement. :: offers a smile :: Have a good day, doctor.
(22:32:42) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: smiles :: SCI: Then allow me to speak to you for a moment in my capacity as your friend. Am I correct in understanding that you are pleased with your situation?
(22:32:46) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> The Odyssey is pulled into the slipstream, and the entry is much smoother than we are accustomed to.
(22:32:51) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::nods, touching his forehead in a salute:: NAV: And you, Commander. Keep safe.
(22:33:11) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CMO: You too. :: exits sickbay ::
(22:33:16) SCI_LtJG_TLira: CSO: Pleasure is a relative term. I am... content, yes.
(22:33:29) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: All: Status?
(22:33:44) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: checking the parameters on the helm, slipstream flight looking nominal from his end ::
(22:34:28) XO_Capt_TKirr: CO: Functioning normally. Very efficiently. :: bit of surprise ::
(22:34:39) CMO_Cmdr_Kymar: ::smiles to himself, picking up where his humming left off as he tidies up and readies the biobed for the next patient, reflecting briefly on the enjoyable diversion of Kate Harper's physical::
(22:35:11) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: notices the ship go to slipstream flight, and figures she won't deprive the Admiral of the helm yet, directs the turbolift to her quarters ::
(22:35:21) CEO_LtQuinn: :: Turns this way and that, consulting reports of exacting detail, keying in the occasional subtle tweak to power flow, lost in his own private cockpit. Well, almost lost.::
(22:35:31) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: So far, the math is with us, sir.
(22:35:56) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: She's purring like a kitten. Are we getting these upgrades too? This new drive is impressive.
(22:36:37) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: pops in to what will be the XO's quarters, which like on Atlantis, fall to her since the XO lives with the CO, and takes a quick shower ::
(22:36:51) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: That will depend on my final report, sir! So far, I'd say likely.
(22:37:05) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: I think you know my vote.
(22:37:10) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CTO: Shield geometry is stable?
(22:37:11) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: grins broadly :: SCI: Then I am very happy for you! And I very much look forward to meeting your new child when he or she is born. If you need assistance, or just someone to talk to, please feel welcome to come to me.
(22:37:44) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: very earnest ::
(22:37:49) SCI_LtJG_TLira: CSO: I will certainly keep that in mind, sir.
(22:39:12) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: All: Approaching the Gencodia system. Stand by to exit slipstream flight.
(22:39:58) CTO_Maj_Wolfe: CO: More stable than most ships I've been on during normal warp flight. Or subwarp, at that.
(22:40:23) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: brightens at Blackthorne's choice of destination ::
(22:40:33) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: All: Exiting slipstream in one minute.
(22:40:42) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: thought T'Kirr might like that choice ::
(22:40:53) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: pulls on a fresh uniform and dallies a bit at her terminal, firing off a message to Lexy asking her to dinner after their shift ::
(22:40:56) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: smile fading almost imperceptibly at the chilly response, but Vulcan, so what did she expect? :: SCI: Very well. I believe we are finished here, then. :: stands :: Would you care to accompany me to the Bridge?
(22:41:19) SCI_LtJG_TLira: CSO: Of course, sir.
(22:41:45) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: All: Three, two one... mark.
(22:41:58) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> The Odyssey pops back into normal space at warp one, stable.
(22:42:18) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: All: Disengaging warp, calculating position. Drift from target... 1.23 AU.
(22:42:32) XO_Capt_TKirr: All: Entering normal space, warp one.
(22:42:59) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: directs the ship toward the gas giant Xothos, of which Gencodia is a moon ::
(22:43:29) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: hopes that was relatively painless and that T'Lira feels she was treated fairly :: SCI: Off we go, then! :: picks up her PADD and notes the flashing light indicating a waiting message, then steps around her desk and into the hall toward the Turbolift with T'Lira ::
(22:43:30) CEO_LtQuinn: :: Does some quick math in his head. :: For the distance covered, that holds up pretty repectably.
(22:43:42) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: CEO: Any problems?
(22:44:03) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: heads back to the TL ::: Bridge.
(22:44:26) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: goes along, already planning ahead, as usual. At least tricorders aren't hard to come by on a starship. ::
(22:44:48) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: also steps into the TL :: Bridge.
(22:45:18) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: walks out of the TL onto the bridge toward the helm :: CO: Admiral.
(22:45:57) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: steps into the TL and turns her attention to fixing the minor problem with the sensors. Perhaps that diagnostic she ran will have some results ::
(22:45:58) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: NAV: Kate, you've gotta try this thing at slipstream. Smooth as silk.
(22:45:58) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: Not as such, sir. I DID make a few very minor on the fly tweaks to shield geometry, eased off on the power a few times when the instability was getting closer than I liked to the red line...but if I'm being honest, that was mostly me being a mother hen about it. The computer's solution would have held together.
(22:46:48) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: backs him up :: NAV: Indeed.
(22:46:54) CEO_LtQuinn: CO: My report should be...quite favorable, Admiral.
(22:47:11) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: steps out of the TL with T'Lira right behind her, and approaches Ops :: XO: Captain, at your pleasure.
(22:47:12) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: :: gets up and relinquishes the station to her :: CEO: Glad to hear it. Atlantis will be too, I'm sure.
(22:47:23) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CO/XO: I look forward to it, sirs. :: sits, notes their course toward Gencodia ::
(22:47:38) SCI_LtJG_TLira: :: beelines for an auxiliary science station to call up that diagnostic ::
(22:47:54) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: looks up and acknowledges Wright, getting up and not saying so but Wright missed out ::
(22:48:35) NAV_Cdr_Harper: CO: Arriving at Gencodia in one minute. I assume standard orbit?
(22:48:41) CO_VAdmBlackthorne: NAV: Yes, Commander.
(22:49:11) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: looks over as Lexy sits down, smiles ::
(22:49:18) CEO_LtQuinn: :: His expression goes guardedly neutral as Atlantis is brought up. After his time detached from the crew, working on the ship, it's nice being back among the fold, but it's also made him disconcertingly possessive of the refit process. In this sense , it's "his" ship, and he's eager to get back to her. ::
(22:49:31) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: sits at Ops, noting with some surprise that we're approaching Gencodia and thinks about the last time she was here ::
(22:49:55) XO_Capt_TKirr: :: makes her way back to her XO seat ::
(22:49:56) NAV_Cdr_Harper: Entering Gencodia orbit. :: maneuvers the Odyssey into a nice circular equatorial orbit ::
(22:50:21) NAV_Cdr_Harper: :: recalls the ancient language she studied here ::
(22:50:41) CSO_LCdr_Wright: :: catches Kate's eye and smiles back before looking down at the message on her PADD. So very tempting to decline to make a point... but accepts ::
