(20:56:41) The topic for #ussatlantis is: Bartanis's compound has been overrun but the wiley fellow escaped, warping away. The orbital defense drones and satellites have been knocked offline, but the planetary ion cannons are still manned. Our flotilla approaches to deal with that threat so we can retrieve our teams and give chase.

(20:59:20) LtKuari [TKirr@90-43-96-75.res.bhn.net] entered the room.
(20:59:20) VAdmBlackthorne: Hiya
(20:59:28) CdrTKirr: Hello.
(21:00:44) LtJorvanTav: Good evening
(21:01:33) LtJGAlexisWright [~Mibbit@w-11-876-382-46.hsd1.wa.comcast.net] entered the room.
(21:01:38) VAdmBlackthorne: Hiya
(21:01:45) LtJGAlexisWright: Ahoy
(21:02:57) CdrTKirr: Welcome! Good to see you again.
(21:03:38) ColDougMcKnight [Mibbit@j-88-351-725-23.hsd6.ma.comcast.net] entered the room.
(21:03:52) VAdmBlackthorne: Hiya
(21:03:57) ColDougMcKnight: Evening.
(21:04:24) ColDougMcKnight: Rachel may duck in later, but it's not a definite.
(21:05:06) ColDougMcKnight: She's had a pretty crappy week. The sort that merits getting some rest.
(21:05:17) CdrTKirr: Sorry to hear that.
(21:05:18) VAdmBlackthorne: To me, the sim is a rest.
(21:06:09) VAdmBlackthorne: A good sim is like a 90 minute vacation.
(21:06:20) CdrTKirr: Hehe
(21:07:05) ColDougMcKnight: Sure, but she's sick and aching from a car collision on Saturday, so...actual sleep is probably better right now.
(21:07:12) CdrTKirr: http://tv.gsn.com/shows/improv/ FTW.
(21:07:36) LtJGAlexisWright: ack, car collision, is she okay?
(21:07:37) CdrTKirr: Aw poor thing... tell her I hope she feels better soon
(21:08:17) ColDougMcKnight: She's mostly fine. It was a low speed affair with a guard rail after the car skidded on some ice. But she's afraid she dinged up her shoulder worse than the doctors said.
(21:08:28) VAdmBlackthorne: :(
(21:08:43) LtJorvanTav: Ouch
(21:08:56) ColDougMcKnight: They gave her an X-ray, which turned up nothing wrong.
(21:09:11) LtJorvanTav: X-Rays wouldn't show much
(21:09:18) ColDougMcKnight: Exactly.
(21:09:38) LtJorvanTav: If she has muscle, tendon or other damage, an X-ray wouldn't catch it. No setlements
(21:09:50) ColDougMcKnight: She was fine in the sense of no broken bones, but that's about all that proved. And she's had cartilege trouble with that shoulder before.
(21:10:08) LtJGAlexisWright: Bummer, an angry shoulder is never a good thing.
(21:10:35) CdrHarper [~Mibbit@ihmo-40-564-22-286.rcmdva.fios.verizon.net] entered the room.
(21:10:49) ColDougMcKnight: No. Anyway, she has an appointment tomorrow. With luck, it's nothing too bad. In the meantime though, she's earned a nap.
(21:11:03) LtJGAlexisWright: bee-tee-doubleyew, I posted my first actual log-type-thing and I had to include some bits from the Admiral and Commander, I hope it's okay. Please advise if not.
(21:12:41) LtJGAlexisWright: also I spent approximately 30 seconds editing it so forgive me for any spelling or grammatical errors I haven't fixed yet.
(21:13:28) VAdmBlackthorne: No, that's fine, though I generally like giving things Ian might say a once-over. Nicely done!
(21:13:57) LtJGAlexisWright: Duly noted, and thank you. :)
(21:14:04) VAdmBlackthorne: I look forward to Part II.
(21:15:11) CdrTKirr: Cool. ^_^
(21:15:27) LtJGAlexisWright: Part II will be an actual entry into Alexis' personal log about returning to the ship n'stuff.
(21:16:11) VAdmBlackthorne: On that note, a bit of a rearrangement tonight.
(21:16:41) VAdmBlackthorne: Lt Tav has expressed a desire to transfer to the medical department under Dr. Carre (poor bastard) and run things in her absence.
(21:16:50) LtJorvanTav: Oh, we're not surprising everyone with that?
(21:17:06) VAdmBlackthorne: No need. You can do the planned IC bit that I just forgot about in sim tonight.
(21:17:26) LtJorvanTav: Okay.
(21:17:55) VAdmBlackthorne: That'll leave Lt. Wright in charge of Science/Ops again.
(21:18:15) VAdmBlackthorne: SciOps
(21:18:16) CdrTKirr: So apparently he has medical in his history. Not that we'd know that.
(21:18:17) VAdmBlackthorne: ScOps
(21:18:20) LtJGAlexisWright: I am pleased to reassume my post if you'll have me. :)
(21:18:43) LtJGAlexisWright: (p)Sci(cl)Ops?
(21:18:50) VAdmBlackthorne: Updated bios for the website are a good thing!
(21:18:55) CdrTKirr: LOL
(21:18:59) VAdmBlackthorne: But anyway, congratulations.
(21:19:04) LtJGAlexisWright: Thy will be done.
(21:19:12) LtJorvanTav: I will make it happen
(21:19:30) LtJGAlexisWright: And thank you. :)
(21:20:45) VAdmBlackthorne: We'll see the IC reasoning tonight. Shall we get going?
(21:20:56) LtJGAlexisWright: :: happily goes back to playing in her lab ::
(21:21:05) CdrTKirr: :: TWEEEEET :: Attention!
(21:21:10) LtJorvanTav: :: AA ::
(21:21:25) ColDougMcKnight: ::AA::

(21:22:06) VAdmBlackthorne has changed the topic to: Atlantis, traveling at a whopping Warp 9.9953, is in hot pursuit of Bartanis's ship, closing fast as it just can't outrun us, no matter how hard he stresses the engines. Combat is imminent, all hands to battlestations!
(21:22:08) VAdmBlackthorne: Questions?
(21:22:42) LtJGAlexisWright: neigh!
(21:22:54) LtKuari: Standing by!
(21:23:46) VAdmBlackthorne: BEGIN SIM
(21:23:48) VAdmBlackthorne: BEGNI SIM
(21:23:50) VAdmBlackthorne: BEGIN SIM
(21:24:39) VAdmBlackthorne: Colonel, disrupt their warp field when ready.
(21:24:51) VAdmBlackthorne: Stand by to drop warp, Kate.
(21:24:56) CdrHarper: :: waits for it ::
(21:25:17) LtJGAlexisWright: :: hands hovering over important buttons ::
(21:26:52) ColDougMcKnight: :: Glances over his console, making one final check to his calibrations. :: Quantums reconfigured to emit an interferometric graviton pulse, keyed to proximity sensors. Firing...now.
(21:27:40) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> The torpedo fires ahead of them and detonates some distance from Bartanis's hull... and the ship drops from warp!
(21:28:11) VAdmBlackthorne: Fire at will, but I'd like him alive.
(21:28:15) CdrHarper: :: also drops Atlantis from warp ::
(21:28:16) CdrTKirr: :: monitors, everything in general... more like supervises ::
(21:28:43) LtJorvanTav: :: works to hone the sensors to best assist Tactical
(21:28:44) LtJorvanTav: ::
(21:30:03) LtJGAlexisWright: :: reviews hull stress data from the Science station at which she has been working ::
(21:30:13) ColDougMcKnight: :: Nods and makes sure to avoid his critically overloaded warp engines and goes to work with phasers, deliberately targeting extremely narrow misses. ::
(21:30:48) ColDougMcKnight: :: Specifically, close enough to miss the hull while still coming close enough to impact shields. It's tricky, but doable. ::
(21:31:06) CdrHarper: :: settles into an evasive pattern ::
(21:31:13) LtJGAlexisWright: :: silently admires the colonel's precision with phaser fire ::
(21:32:05) LtKuari: :: stands by, stationed in one of many dispatch points ready to respond to possible combat boardings ::
(21:32:31) ColDougMcKnight: Enemy shields down to 72 percent. Their pilot isn't making this easy.
(21:32:59) ColDougMcKnight: :: Unconsciously corrects his posture subtly to maintain balance as the ship shakes a bit from return fire. :: On the plus side, our shields are holding up far better.
(21:33:59) ColDougMcKnight: Also, be advised the interference to their warp field is NOT persistent. So long as those engines of theirs are even remotely functional, they CAN go back to warp in short order.
(21:34:10) VAdmBlackthorne: So can we.
(21:35:06) LtJorvanTav: :: continues analysis of Bartanis's ship ::
(21:35:50) LtJGAlexisWright: We may be able to disrupt his warp field with an EM pulse. :: softly, apparently talking to herself ::
(21:36:00) ColDougMcKnight: Enemy shields to 39 percent. Shall I have a boarding party standing by?
(21:36:47) VAdmBlackthorne: Yes, have them ready.
(21:37:19) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> A lucky shot manages to surge through a section of shielding and overload a power junction, which was already stressed from the pursuit. A cascade blows several more, causing several injuries to nearby parties and power losses through several decks.
(21:38:14) ColDougMcKnight: This is my Kung Fu, and it is strong.
(21:38:14) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> The ship rocks hard.
(21:38:15) ColDougMcKnight: Sir.
(21:38:31) LtJGAlexisWright: ( Our ship is hit, or theirs? )
(21:38:32) CdrTKirr: :: is rocked, appearing alarmed ::
(21:38:39) ColDougMcKnight: (Oh, was that us?)
(21:38:48) LtJorvanTav: Sir, he got through our shields. We have reports of several injuries coming in on decks five through seventeen.
(21:38:49) VAdmBlackthorne: (yes!)
(21:38:55) CdrTKirr: (Yeah that was sorta unclear!)
(21:38:58) VAdmBlackthorne: )Sorry!)
(21:39:09) ColDougMcKnight: (Nix the last line, then.)
(21:39:10) LtJGAlexisWright: (Unacceptable!)
(21:40:02) LtJGAlexisWright: Rerouting power to bypass the damaged sections!
(21:40:19) VAdmBlackthorne: Additional power to the shields!
(21:41:09) CdrTKirr: DrNolan> +Bridge+ Nolan to the Bridge! We need help down in Sickbay. That hit compromised quite a few of the staff!
(21:41:45) VAdmBlackthorne: :: looks to a scientist, hoping they know something about biology :: Lt. Tav, do you have medical training?
(21:42:03) ColDougMcKnight: Reinforcing forward shields! Weapons...ARE suffering a moderate power loss. I can keep laying on the fire, but we'll be missing a little punch until someone manages a reroute.
(21:42:22) LtJorvanTav: :: reads new reports coming in, hears Dr. Nolan's request and Blackthorne's question, and turns to face the Admiral :: I do.
(21:42:39) VAdmBlackthorne: Be a little more direct, Colonel.
(21:42:47) VAdmBlackthorne: Get down there. Wright, take Ops.
(21:43:16) VAdmBlackthorne: +Nolan+ Additional help is on the way. Activate the EMH if necessary.
(21:43:41) CdrTKirr: DrNolan> +Bridge+ Understood, Admiral. :: sounds harried and distracted ::
(21:43:44) ColDougMcKnight: :: Flashes a grin. The almost feral, toothy one you don't want directed at you. :: Direct, aye sir.
(21:43:48) LtJorvanTav: You got it, sir. :: stands up and gives Wright a meaningful look as he makes his way to the TL ::
(21:44:04) CdrHarper: :: begins maneuvering in such a way to keep Atlantis's wounded side away from the enemy ::
(21:44:23) ColDougMcKnight: :: Programs in a spread of torpedoes and lets loose. ::
(21:44:43) LtJGAlexisWright: :: blinks :: Aye, sir. :: meets Tav's eyes and changes stations :: I can get you more power for the phaser banks, but I'm going to need to sacrifice something else. I'm already siphoning as much as I can from nonessential systems.
(21:45:00) VAdmBlackthorne: :: hopes Bartanis doesn't die in the directness ::
(21:46:21) LtJGAlexisWright: :: listens closely to the engineering teams dispatched to repair the blown power junctions, ready to route power through more efficient channels ::
(21:46:49) LtJorvanTav: (wouldn't that be less efficient but available channels?)
(21:47:05) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> Quantum torpedos are a massive advantage over most civilian weapons. The enemy ship loses shields, engines, and main power.
(21:47:05) CdrTKirr: (Hence more efficient)
(21:47:47) LtJGAlexisWright: (they're already through less efficient but available channels. I mean ready to route power back to the way it was before the junctions blew.)
(21:48:31) VAdmBlackthorne: Get over there, Doug, and bring that bastard back to answer some questions.
(21:48:48) LtJGAlexisWright: Transporters are fully powered, sir! We have transporter lock on our boarding parties awaiting the Colonel's command.
(21:49:01) LtJorvanTav: :: The doors of the TurboLift open and Tav is deposited onto Deck 15 outside Holodeck 3 :: Well, it seems the TurboLift routing is experiencing some problems :: Tav sets into a sprint toward Sickbay, stumbling over crewmembers rustling about their business on the way ::
(21:49:14) LtKuari: :: wantstogowantstogowantstogo ::
(21:51:03) ColDougMcKnight: Yes, sir.
(21:51:30) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> Bartanis's ship lists sadly on the viewscreen.
(21:52:18) CdrHarper: :: settles Atlantis into position, lording over the enemy ship like a big cat about to eat ::
(21:52:31) ColDougMcKnight: +Security+ O'Grady, beam me directly to transporter room one, and have an assault team meet me there. Have them bring my armor, and initiate the new transporter protocol.
(21:52:37) LtJorvanTav: :: rounds the corner toward Sickbay, and almost hits the door when it delays in opening for him :: Doctor Nolan, I have medical training, what do you need?
(21:52:57) ColDougMcKnight: :: And sure, Kurai can totally come. ::
(21:53:20) ColDougMcKnight: (Kuari, even. )
(21:53:47) CdrTKirr: (Not the first time)
(21:54:22) CdrTKirr: DrNolan> :: looks up sharply at Tav's arrival and blinks at him in surprise :: You're who Blackthorne sent? Aren't you Science?
(21:54:57) LtKuari: :: gets the order and totally complies with whatever the new transporter protocol is ::
(21:55:06) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: nods to Kuari :: We move.
(21:55:52) VAdmBlackthorne: Wright, keep a close eye on all systems over there. We don't want to fall into the trap of a self-destruct.
(21:56:41) LtJorvanTav: :: nods to Nolan :: I am, but one of my previous hosts was the doctor aboard the Serengeti for two years. My understanding may need to be updated, but in a crunch I can do anything needed.
(21:56:58) LtJGAlexisWright: Aye, sir. They do still have weapons, but they
(21:57:12) LtJGAlexisWright: are losing life support, so I don't expect they'll stick with that trade.
(21:57:21) VAdmBlackthorne: Without main power, they'll never dent our shields.
(21:57:31) VAdmBlackthorne: Transporter lock at all times on the boarding party.
(21:57:33) ColDougMcKnight: :: Materializes in transporter room one, his duty uniform replaced by
(21:57:37) LtJGAlexisWright: Aye, sir.
(21:57:45) ColDougMcKnight: (Goddam cat on keyboard.)
(21:57:50) CdrTKirr: DrNolan> :: nods hurriedly :: Good, good. I haven't made it to those guys over there. :: points :: See what you can do.
(21:57:58) VAdmBlackthorne: (His uniform was replaced by a cat?!!?!)
(21:58:14) LtJGAlexisWright: (Kitty wants to be a Marine!)
(21:58:21) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: waiting in TR1, all armored up, rifle at the ready ::
(21:59:00) CdrTKirr: ( New transporter protocol. Like it. )
(21:59:36) LtJGAlexisWright: Enemy ship is broadcasting an encoded message on all subspace channels, Sir.
(21:59:42) ColDougMcKnight: a skin tight grey body suit. Its purpose is to actively provide heat and pressure to the body, necessary for allowing the armor to preserve the wearer's life in a vacuum without the atmosphere surrounding them that a traditional EVA suit provides. ::
(22:00:08) LtJorvanTav: :: looks to where Nolan is pointing and nods. On his way over, he picks up a medical tricorder and med kit. :: Didn't think I would be doing this again. :: Continues over to the crewmen Nolan was pointing at and begins scanning ::
(22:00:13) ColDougMcKnight: Protocol works. And hey, exercycle really paid off.
(22:00:14) LtKuari: :: in TR1, pleased to see McKnight's protocol work seamlessly ::
(22:00:26) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: nods, impressed ::
(22:00:46) VAdmBlackthorne: ;: turns to T'Kirr :: Assess a damage and casualty report. :: quietly ::
(22:01:24) LtJGAlexisWright: Ready to drop shields for transport.
(22:01:29) CdrTKirr: :: nods and studies incoming internal sensor data and reports ::
(22:01:31) ColDougMcKnight: :: Begins adding the actual armor overlay with well practiced efficiency. :: Alright, weapons to maximum stun. Our orders are to retrieve Bartanis alive if possible.
(22:02:17) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: clicks his rifle over to stun, setting 11 ::
(22:03:29) LtKuari: :: checks her rifle ::
(22:03:32) LtJorvanTav: :: finishes scanning his first patient :: You were lucky, Crewman...
(22:03:46) LtJorvanTav: Crewman> Smith, sir.
(22:03:56) ColDougMcKnight: :: Now suited up, McKnight steps on the transporter pad, and indicates the rest of the marine detail to do the same. As soon as this is done...:: Energize, chief.
(22:04:10) LtJGAlexisWright: Lowering shields for transport.
(22:04:12) VAdmBlackthorne: :: stares at the listing ship on the main viewer ::
(22:04:58) VAdmBlackthorne: :: nods to Wright ::
(22:05:03) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: Steps up and gets beamed ::
(22:05:59) LtJGAlexisWright: The message they're broadcasting looks a lot like a distress call, Sir, but I don't show any vessels on sensors. Sensors cannot penetrate the nebula off our starboard bow. Boarding parties transported successfully, raising shields.
(22:06:47) CdrTKirr: Decks five through seventeen sustained mostly minimal damage, but the central decks lost power due to a stressed power junction being hit. Engineering teams have restored power to Sickbay and are working on the rest now. Casualty report incomplete, but so far I've received word of fourteen wounded.
(22:07:04) VAdmBlackthorne: :: nods :: Thank you.
(22:07:16) ColDougMcKnight: ACTION> The marine detail soon rematerializes on Bartanis' bridge, only to find it evacuated of all personnel...who have left a squad of security robots behind. They're no substitute for a real trained soldier, but their aim is computer perfect, and the marines immediately find themselves under fire from all sides!
(22:07:50) LtJorvanTav: :: smiles at the crewman :: Crewman Smith. You only have a broken femur. There once was a day that would have taken you out for months. Now, all I have to do is this... :: fishes a bone repair tool out of his kit and sets it aside for a moment, grabs Smith's upper and lower thigh with both hands and without warning yanks the bones apart and resets them ::
(22:07:55) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: dives for cover ::
(22:08:12) LtJorvanTav: Smith> AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHHHHHHHHHHH! Ow! Ow! Ow ow ow ow!
(22:08:24) LtJorvanTav: :: before casually picking up the bone repair tool and slowly waving it over the fracture :: ... and you're good as new!
(22:08:36) LtKuari: :: immediately ducks to the floor and begins lining her sights up on robots around the legs of marines ::
(22:09:43) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: taking shots out from around cover at the robots ::
(22:10:09) ColDougMcKnight: :: Finding cover at a premium and the quarters pretty close anyway, he opts instead to charge right at the nearest automaton, and down it with a rifle butt to the face. He takes a hit to the center mass in the process, but his breastplate holds up under the punishment.::
(22:11:10) ColDougMcKnight: :: The robots head does NOT hold up quite so well to being stomped repreatedly by a duranium alloy reinforced boot, nor does its chassi hold up to multiple point blank pulse rifle shots. ::
(22:11:21) LtJorvanTav: :: seeing that Smith's femur is fully repaired :: Now, try to take care of yourself. I would hate to have to do that again. Now, then... :: takes Crewman Newton into his sights and opens his medical tricorder ::
(22:12:53) LtKuari: :: finds the robots' concentration on the moving targets and isn't bothered for some time until a robot aims for someone behind her and targets her instead, easily firing at the large, stationary target ::
(22:13:21) LtJGAlexisWright: :: slowly restores power flow to proper channels as Engineering teams repair the power junctions, keeping an eye on the enemy ship's systems :: Nothing self-destructy, sir, but they are broadcasting the hell out of that message like they expect to be rescued.
(22:13:56) ColDougMcKnight: ACTION> Meanwhile, the real Bartanis and most of his organic crew are down in the engine room, hiding behind the protection of transporter inhibitors, and struggling to rig up a couple photon torpedoes for use as matter/antimatter generators before reactor containment fails.
(22:14:36) VAdmBlackthorne: Let them. Perhaps Ashexana will answer.
(22:15:12) LtKuari: :: screams as she's hit and instantly springs into action, running for the nearest robot that isn't targeting her ::
(22:16:01) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: wheel around at the scream and takes down a couple of the robots that were shooting at Kuari ::
(22:16:18) LtJorvanTav: :: finishes scanning Newton :: Good news. You just have a mild concussion. :: jams a dose into a hypospray and presses it to Newton's carotid artery and gives him some painkiller before moving on to his next patient ::
(22:17:35) LtKuari: :: yells again as the robot she's bearing down on turns towards her and is about to fire when it's violently flung against the wall, its targeting ability damaged as its weight smashes it to the floor ::
(22:18:35) ColDougMcKnight: :: Grits his teeth as a marine goes down under multiple phaser rifle hits. Unfortunately for the robot responsible, the downed marine was obscuring him, and the robot is missing a head before it can draw a bead on the new target. ::
(22:18:49) ColDougMcKnight: That's the last of them! Sound off!
(22:19:12) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> Syvek.
(22:19:38) LtKuari: :: stands assessing the room, hunched over and panting :: All right, sir!
(22:19:43) LtJorvanTav: :: after working his way through several green triage patients who don't really need much, Tav makes his way to the first biobed and takes in the scans ::
(22:20:51) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: absently steps on a robot, no matter how illogical it might be ::
(22:21:02) ColDougMcKnight: Philips> Burke's had it, sir. Driscol's alive, but suffering severe neurological disruption. She won't be getting up without sickbay.
(22:22:31) ColDougMcKnight: :: Turns to Jimmenez, the designated medic. :: Sickbay's got problems of their own right now. Stay with her, keep her stable until Tav indicates he can take her. The rest of you, with me!
(22:23:01) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> Sir. :: follows ::
(22:23:11) LtKuari: :: lines up to follow ::
(22:25:09) LtJorvanTav: :: receives the call from Jimminez and moves a less severe patient off the surgical table and preps for surgery ::
(22:28:36) VAdmBlackthorne: Wright, run a scan and find out where the majority of the life signs have gathered, then relay that information to the Colonel.
(22:29:11) LtJGAlexisWright: Aye, sir. :: scanning ::
(22:29:13) ColDougMcKnight: Okay! HUD's picking up an inhibitor field down by engineering. They want us to have trouble getting there, so that's where we're going. Move out!
(22:29:32) LtKuari: :: moves ::
(22:29:45) LtJorvanTav: :: activates the sterilizer and flashes the surgical theater area :: +Jimminez+ Jimminez, this is Tav. We are ready to take Driscol. Stand by for transport. :: prepares the medical transporter for Jimminez's okay ::
(22:31:48) LtJGAlexisWright: +McKnight+ Colonel, all lifesigns on the vessel appear to be concentrated in Engineering. I can't get an accurate headcount due to interference from inhibitors, but expect armed resistance.
(22:32:03) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: follows along, rifles at the ready ::
(22:32:03) ColDougMcKnight: ACTION> The HUDs also register duotronic signatures housed in polymer and alloy shells. In other words, robots of simple programming. Each one accompanied by a weapons signature. And a fair few of them.
(22:32:31) ColDougMcKnight: :: Sighs :: No shit. +Wright+ Thank you, Lieutenant. Pressing on there now.
(22:33:01) ColDougMcKnight: Jimmenez> +Tav+ Transport when ready, Lieutenant.
(22:33:36) LtJGAlexisWright: :: listening, lowers shields briefly for transport ::
(22:34:09) LtKuari: :: growls softly to herself... she doesn't like robots. They can't be intimidated ::
(22:34:52) LtJorvanTav: +Jimminez+ Energizing! :: activates the transporter and runs to the dressing room to find a set of surgical scrubs. On his way he barks orders to several nurses about prepping Driscol ::
(22:36:37) ColDougMcKnight: :: Advancing off the bridge, it's not long before the marines find themselves under fire once again. Massed, accurate fire. Fortunately, it looks as though the designers haven't bothered to incorporate a "take cover" mechanic yet. Nature was not so rushed, sloppy, or under-funded with his team. ::
(22:37:04) ColDougMcKnight: (BRB. Gotta feed kitties.)
(22:37:52) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: Takes cover and tosses a grenade :: Grenade!
(22:39:37) LtKuari: :: manages to find a bulkhead large enough to shield her mass and lays her rifle along the wall, making herself as small as possible while finding shots ::
(22:39:45) LtJorvanTav: :: unable to find suitable scrubs, Tav rushes to the dressing room replicator :: +Computer+ One set of surgical scrubs, my size.
(22:39:53) LtKuari: :: pulls back at Syvek's shout and waits for it ::
(22:39:59) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: BOOM ::
(22:40:22) VAdmBlackthorne: ACTION> There are somewhat fewer robots, by a factor of a lot.
(22:40:35) LtJGAlexisWright: (Replicators are sort of offline at the moment)
(22:40:50) LtJorvanTav: (Gah!)
(22:41:53) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> Kuari, lay down a base of fire!
(22:42:35) LtKuari: :: lowers herself to her haunches and resumes her position except lower and begins a full, distracting spread ::
(22:42:54) LtJorvanTav: :: when the replicator doesn't respond, Tav goes through the drawers for something that will work, and finds scrubs that are close enough in size, and puts them on, noticing that they have a space for breasts and female hips ::
(22:43:39) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> :: advances in the designated friendly area of the base of fire and steadily takes down the rest of the robots ::
(22:45:05) LtJorvanTav: :: finally suited up, walks back out into Sickbay where a nurse is waiting with a PADD with Driscol's vitals and other information, and reads it on the way into the surgical suite ::
(22:46:04) VAdmBlackthorne: Syvek> Clear!
(22:47:10) ColDougMcKnight: (Back, and...fight's over, I see. Well done.)
(22:48:19) VAdmBlackthorne: (Grenades are the answer to all of life's questions.)
(22:50:58) LtKuari: :: stops firing and moves forward with the rest, eyeing dark corners ::
(22:51:55) ColDougMcKnight: ACTION> Well, subtract another wounded marine, since these robots are programmed to keep targeting enemies without breaking off for actions of self preservation. But with the way cleared, the corridor soon opens up into a more wide open storage bay for heavy cargo.
(22:53:03) LtJGAlexisWright: :: continues doing basic Ops stuff, suspiciously watching sensors for ships responding to distress call ::
(22:53:16) ColDougMcKnight: Jimmenez> :: Same deal. Provides emergency aid, tags the marine for next possible sickbay slot. ::
(22:53:33) CdrTKirr: :: tracks her rifle in a sweep on her side of the flank, studying her scanner as she goes ::
(22:54:38) VAdmBlackthorne: (5 minutes)
(22:55:41) LtJorvanTav: :: applies neural inhibitors to Driscol, even though at this moment that wouldn't be necessary ::
(22:56:02) CdrTKirr: (Kuari, not T'Kirr)
(22:57:11) ColDougMcKnight: ACTION> Once all the marine detail still on their feet have spread out into the cargo bay, heavy alloy bars come slamming down, blocking both exits. Additional security robots begin powering up and unpacking themselves at the periphery of the bay. Of more concern may be the much larger version being lowered to the deck in the center of the room.
(22:58:38) LtKuari: :: swings around, her head moving in quick, bird-like movements, trying to assess where she should be aiming ::
(22:59:20) VAdmBlackthorne: PAUSE SIM
(22:59:21) VAdmBlackthorne: PAUSE SIM
(22:59:24) VAdmBlackthorne: PAUSE SIM
(22:59:32) CdrTKirr: :: pauses ::
(22:59:39) ColDougMcKnight: ::pauses::
(22:59:44) LtJorvanTav: :: pauses in the middle of activating the laser scalpel ::
(23:00:03) LtJGAlexisWright: :: || ::
(23:01:03) LtJGAlexisWright: Okay, I hate to sim and run but I gotta boogie <3
(23:01:09) VAdmBlackthorne: Nice, looks like our team got to the bossfight.
(23:01:15) CdrTKirr: See you next week. ^_^
(23:01:17) LtJGAlexisWright: Have a great week!
(23:01:19) ColDougMcKnight: For next time: It emits its own transport inhibitor field, it has grenade launchers for hands, and a shoulder mounted quantum pulse phaser cannon!
(23:01:21) VAdmBlackthorne: Later Wright
(23:01:21) CdrTKirr: I look forward to your log
(23:01:25) ColDougMcKnight: So yes. Ahem.
(23:01:30) LtJorvanTav: I think I am going to like this medical thing. See you next week, Wright
(23:01:30) CdrTKirr: Oh snap.
(23:01:32) ColDougMcKnight: "It's a TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!"
(23:01:35) LtJGAlexisWright: I look forward to writing my log >>;
(23:01:39) ColDougMcKnight: Night, Wright!
(23:01:39) VAdmBlackthorne: It's a Tarp!
(23:02:00) LtJGAlexisWright left the room (quit: Quit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client).
(23:02:08) LtJorvanTav: No! Don't throw a tarp over the marines!
(23:02:21) LtJorvanTav: Guess a tarp is better than a carp.
(23:02:25) ColDougMcKnight: Especially when that tarp is made of grenades!
(23:02:39) CdrTKirr: Ahem. I believe the British would call it a "tarpaulin."
(23:03:01) VAdmBlackthorne: It's a crap!
(23:03:50) LtJorvanTav: Well, you do know where the term grenade came from, right? The French word for "pomegranate" So, you know...
(23:04:03) LtJorvanTav: Why that relates, I do not know. Alcohol makes things relate that don't
(23:06:01) VAdmBlackthorne: Right on
(23:06:39) CdrTKirr: Right. Bed time.
(23:06:51) ColDougMcKnight: Yep, night folks!
(23:07:39) VAdmBlackthorne: Night all
