(10:00:50 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Hai dere
(10:01:13 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Hiya
(10:01:32 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Oh, I'm supposed to ask you, (I probably already did), Do you know 'Bob' in ticketing-Anaheim?
(10:02:18 PM) CdrTKirr: Considering I live across the country and I don't work in ticketing... no.
(10:02:25 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Okay
(10:02:26 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: :D
(10:02:38 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: He wanted to know, I said I'd ask.
(10:02:39 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: lol
(10:02:57 PM) CdrTKirr: Bob wanted to know?
(10:03:03 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yes
(10:03:05 PM) CdrTKirr: Like... he thinks he knows me or something?
(10:03:10 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Maybe
(10:03:18 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Hes worked there 30 years.
(10:03:33 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: He's in quite a few of the brochures and employee stuff.
(10:03:38 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: No, I dont know why.
(10:03:44 PM) CdrTKirr: Liz
(10:03:50 PM) CdrTKirr: Liz's husband here
(10:04:03 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Hiya Mr. Liz.
(10:04:04 PM) CdrTKirr: I don't know him, but I am sure I know people who do
(10:04:11 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Probably.
(10:04:41 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Hes done special event ticketing for as long as I can remember.
(10:04:43 PM) CdrTKirr: Tell him he should visit www.stupidguesttricks.com, sign up.
(10:04:47 PM) CdrTKirr: Very cool
(10:04:50 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: lol
(10:05:01 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: *snicker* Can I sign up?
(10:05:16 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I promise not to have a fit if I see a headless toon.
(10:05:22 PM) CdrTKirr: But unless I've met him, between 60,000 people at WDW and 12,000 at Disneyland...
(10:05:29 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: *has a fit, waits for cash*
(10:05:34 PM) CdrTKirr: You are more than welcome to come join
(10:05:58 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: So Mr. Liz works there too?
(10:06:00 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: O.O
(10:06:19 PM) CdrTKirr: That I do
(10:06:42 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: um...grats?
(10:06:52 PM) CdrTKirr: And while you won't see a headless toon at SGT, you will see some interesting stories
(10:06:55 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Dismal Land, the Tragic Kingdom.
(10:07:10 PM) CdrTKirr: Hey now. It just seems that way sometimes
(10:07:33 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: News from the north is that they may be a bit late.
(10:07:57 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Bwhaha...I still like DL, just not as much as when I was 12.
(10:08:20 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I loved the main street, watch shop. I think they closed it though.
(10:08:34 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Also, Disney world has too may damn seagulls.
(10:08:43 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I got crapped on 3 times when I was there. :(
(10:08:51 PM) CdrTKirr: They should have a jewelry store there. But a lot of the original shops are not the same as they once were
(10:09:20 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Its true.
(10:09:30 PM) CdrTKirr: The magic shop is actually where Steve Martin got his start. Robin Williams started on the Jungle Cruise
(10:09:38 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I think I have a book with some E tickets left around here somewhere.
(10:09:46 PM) CdrTKirr: Those are keepers
(10:09:55 PM) CdrTKirr: Those could be worth a LOT of money these days
(10:10:01 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yeah, if I can remember WHERE I stashed it for safekeeping.
(10:10:41 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I have 40 years of disney crap.
(10:10:52 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Everyone thinks I collect it.
(10:10:52 PM) CdrTKirr: Unfortunately, they are homogonizing the merchandise
(10:11:11 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: So now OTHER people give me disney gifts.
(10:11:23 PM) CdrTKirr: Well, the next time we are at Disneyland we'll have to let you know. We get some nice discounts
(10:11:25 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yeah, they need to maximize profit.
(10:11:32 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: >.>
(10:11:36 PM) CdrTKirr: Or next time you are this way
(10:11:48 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I have my bro meet me, he charges it and I pay him.
(10:12:14 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: We went to the bahamas, which is why we stopped by there.
(10:12:19 PM) CdrTKirr: Do you get out to DL often?
(10:12:26 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Naw
(10:12:39 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I think I was there 4ish years ago.
(10:12:48 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Every 7ish years is plenty.
(10:13:06 PM) CdrTKirr: Not when you know the Cast Members. Or if you can get a reservation at Club 33
(10:13:19 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I still love the pirate ride and Blue Bayou.
(10:13:25 PM) CdrTKirr: But of course
(10:13:28 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I think I've been there.
(10:13:38 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: My BIL also works there.
(10:13:48 PM) CdrTKirr: You've been to Club 33? Very nice!
(10:14:00 PM) CdrTKirr: Most exclusive club in SoCal
(10:14:08 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I think the only ticket I've ever paid for was part of my travel pkg to DW.
(10:14:37 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I've been "BEHIND THE WALLS"!
(10:14:40 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: O.O
(10:14:51 PM) CdrTKirr: That's the way to do it. With ticket prices these days, I can't imagine paying to get in
(10:15:00 PM) CdrTKirr: Have you been to the Utilidors?
(10:15:01 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Bro's office is in the back.
(10:15:14 PM) CdrTKirr: That's downstairs at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World
(10:15:18 PM) CdrTKirr: Interesting place
(10:15:52 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I've been in the inside corridors, I'll make him take me other verboten places next time. :D
(10:15:59 PM) CdrTKirr: Ha ha!
(10:16:24 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I originally wanted to color cells for a living.
(10:16:33 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Then I found out I'd have to live in SoCal.
(10:16:48 PM) CdrTKirr: Just don't go into the west side of the Utilidors. Kinda stinky
(10:16:53 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I dont particularly like it down there.
(10:17:03 PM) CdrTKirr: Kinda cavernous
(10:17:19 PM) CdrTKirr: Not much to look at, unless you know what you're looking at. Most don't
(10:17:25 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: SoCal is an awful place
(10:17:25 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: West side? *faces north, points east* That side, got it.
(10:17:36 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Well, LA is, San Diego is acceptable
(10:17:57 PM) CdrTKirr: But it's nice when I tell people I'll race them from Tomorrowland to Frontierland, they have to take the upstairs route, I disappear and reappear there about 10 minutes before they arrive
(10:18:04 PM) CdrTKirr: San Diego is awesome/
(10:18:06 PM) CdrTKirr: .
(10:18:13 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Its all one big damn city, ya cant tell where one stops and the next one starts.
(10:18:57 PM) CdrTKirr: Just stay out of Tijuana these days. Anyway, I really should give your First Officer back to you. Been quite fun talking about Disneyland.
(10:19:22 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: I do like the directions to my sisters house though. "Head south on I-5, travel 1758 miles to your first turn."
(10:19:35 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yep, nice chatting with ya.
(10:19:36 PM) CdrTKirr: Where do you go down I-5 from?
(10:19:43 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Seattle
(10:19:44 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: lol
(10:19:59 PM) CdrTKirr: Oh. So when we lived in Portland we were only 250 miles away.
(10:20:14 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yep
(10:20:21 PM) CdrTKirr: Back when Sim took place at 7:00
(10:20:36 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Thankfully they built 205 to bypass THAT mess.
(10:20:39 PM) CdrTKirr: 19:00. There. Now I am more comfortable.
(10:21:07 PM) CdrTKirr: I have some stories driving across the bridge on I-205. But now is not the time. You have a sim to start.
(10:21:15 PM) CdrTKirr: Here
(10:21:19 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: We're short peoples!
(10:21:26 PM) CdrTKirr: Here's T'Kirr!
(10:21:26 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: Yay!
(10:21:46 PM) CdrTKirr: MY SIM! >_<
(10:21:59 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: :D
(10:22:03 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: What what
(10:23:07 PM) LtKuari: :: peeks in ::
(10:23:17 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: We'll give em a few more minutes.
(10:30:15 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Alright, it's half past, that's that for tonight. :(
(10:33:07 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Perhaps next week we can celebrate a ridiculous length of time for an internet spaceship to fly.
(10:33:10 PM) CdrTKirr: Too bad. Oh well, got training in the morning... again. I wish they'd stop doing that.
(10:33:21 PM) CdrTKirr: Yes, I look forward to it.
(10:33:42 PM) LtKuari left the room.
(10:35:30 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: :(
(10:35:41 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Next time!
(10:35:57 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: well I'll amuse myself at that nifty site your hubby told me about. lol
(10:36:23 PM) DrRoxanneCarre: see ya next week. *waves*
(10:36:36 PM) CdrTKirr: See ya
(10:36:39 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Night!
(10:36:56 PM) ColDougMcKnight [Mibbit@dm-27274.hsd1.ma.comcast.net] entered the room.
(10:37:05 PM) DrRoxanneCarre left the room (quit: Exit: http://www.mibbit.com ajax IRC Client).
(10:37:47 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Right, so...hey. You got my text, I hope?
(10:38:20 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Yeah, through Liz, but we canceled at half past.
(10:39:02 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Ah. Well, sorry about that.
(10:39:33 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: No worries!
(10:41:57 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Grats on LoTM, btw, four in a row!
(10:45:41 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Oh, holy crap.
(10:46:04 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Oh, I wanted to ask you something
(10:46:05 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Nice. I'll see if I can keep it coming. :)
(10:46:08 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Shoot.
(10:46:29 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Would you and Rachel be opposed to sliding the sim 30 to 60 minutes earlier so we can all get to sleep sooner?
(10:47:45 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Well, Rachel says that in general, it would be lovely.
(10:48:01 PM) ColDougMcKnight: As for me...barring special circumstances, I'd be onboard too.
(10:48:25 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Fantastic!
(10:48:42 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Would you prefer 9 or 9:30 for a start time?
(10:50:52 PM) ColDougMcKnight: 9:00, probably.
(10:51:41 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Great, we'll try for that next week then. Keep an eye on the website for something official.
(10:53:16 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Will do.
(10:53:40 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Heh, that way when we inevitably run late, we can still be done before 11.
(10:55:10 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Sweet.
(10:55:27 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Oh, by the way, if you don't mind a drastic topic change, I had a question.
(10:56:43 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Go for it.
(10:58:27 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I know you said when you played Mass Effect, you tended toward Fem Shep because you liked Jennifer Hale's voice acting better. But what class did you play?
(10:58:46 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Vanguard.
(10:59:04 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Nice selection of biotic abilites, with great pistol talents.
(10:59:11 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: (and shotgun talents in ME2)
(10:59:11 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Nice. I recently started a Vanguard playthrough myself. I die constantly, but it's a lot of fun.
(10:59:27 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Vanguards are amazing fun in ME2 as well, even more so.
(10:59:35 PM) ColDougMcKnight: In ME2, I mean. I loaned the original to a friend.
(10:59:39 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Ha!
(10:59:44 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I love biotic charge so much.
(10:59:53 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: You either kill everyone and feel like a fantastic badass, or die gloriously.
(11:00:29 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I regret it a little. I recently started playing ME2 again to do a female playthrough. That was fun, but it's annoying...if you haven't imported a character from ME1, it's like you're playing half the game.
(11:01:07 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Yeah, that's really true
(11:01:22 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: The default choices are terrible, too. WREX CAN NOT DIE
(11:01:34 PM) ColDougMcKnight: True.
(11:01:41 PM) ColDougMcKnight: You know, you CAN change that now.
(11:01:46 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Oh, really?
(11:02:44 PM) ColDougMcKnight: They released a DLC. It changes the opening conversation with Miranda and the Illusive Man a bit, and after the intro scene of the Normandy getting toasted, it launches into this 15 minute re-telling of the first game in interactive comic book form.
(11:02:53 PM) ColDougMcKnight: You can decide about a few key points.
(11:03:24 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: That's helpful, at least.
(11:03:35 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Still, I'd want control over everything.
(11:03:57 PM) ColDougMcKnight: You can decide who your love interest was, whether the Rachni lived, whether Wrex lived, whether you let Ash or Kaiden die, whether the Council lived and...right, whether Anderson or Udina wound up on the Council.
(11:04:11 PM) ColDougMcKnight: But yes, it's still half the game. No Verner, no Rana...so on.
(11:04:53 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Verner's still broken from what I understand?
(11:05:09 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Remembers you shoving the gun in his face regardless?
(11:06:48 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Yes
(11:06:52 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Yeah, I don't recall hearing about any fix for that.
(11:06:57 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I was nice to him :(
(11:07:02 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Yeah, me too.
(11:07:07 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I went mostly Paragon.
(11:07:14 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I guess he's just crazy. :V
(11:07:30 PM) ColDougMcKnight: When I did my FemShep Infiltrator, I used the DLC to do MOSTLY paragon.
(11:07:58 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I let the Council die though. One, to mix it up a little. Two, because those guys really needed to die.
(11:08:25 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I swear, in ME3, I will need some serious convincing to save those assholes twice if I get the chance.
(11:08:56 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Hahahaha
(11:09:05 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Either way, Anderson for Council, screw Udina.
(11:09:22 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Yeah. That in particular is the thing that pissed me off about the default.
(11:09:40 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Everything else, I can see. You're a ruthless, victory at any cost badass.
(11:09:52 PM) ColDougMcKnight: But Udina? As a renegade, you threaten to kill that fucker for backstabbing you.
(11:11:25 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Damn straight!
(11:11:26 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Oh, who was your romantic interest? Or did you just focus on the job the whole playthrough?
(11:11:30 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: In which game?
(11:11:40 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Well, never mind that question.
(11:11:52 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Kaiden for the paragon FemShep, and she stayed faithful to him.
(11:12:17 PM) ColDougMcKnight: That's devotion right there.
(11:12:31 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I tend to regard accusations of being a traitor as an automatic breakup.
(11:13:25 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Well, I suppose she didn't really find anyone who she liked better. :V
(11:13:40 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Ah, fair enough.
(11:13:51 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I went Garrus, myself.
(11:14:52 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: He was always in my team.
(11:14:58 PM) ColDougMcKnight: In my original playthrough, he was, as you once described Wrex "my boy". It seemed a logical progression.
(11:15:04 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Fuck yeah
(11:15:17 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Garrus and Wrex were my ME1 team, and I wasn't dropping my boy in ME2!
(11:15:31 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Nice.
(11:16:01 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Interesting...did you have Garrus or Wrex suggesting the Paragon options, then? Or did you just have them both saying "Yeah, kill the fuckers."?
(11:16:20 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I typically went with Garrus and Liara in ME1, for the biotics.
(11:16:34 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Hm, don't remember.
(11:16:37 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I...never really found biotics all that useful in Me2, really.
(11:16:54 PM) ColDougMcKnight: For Sheperd, sure. Cool stuff. In the squad, I never really noticed them.
(11:17:31 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: They were a bit overpowered in ME1
(11:17:47 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Vanguard in a New Game+ with Singularity = solo the game
(11:17:57 PM) ColDougMcKnight: My most consistent combo was probably Garrus and Miranda in ME2. To double up on Overload.
(11:18:37 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I think that's what I did a lot
(11:18:42 PM) ColDougMcKnight: And okay, and once you unlock armor piercing ammo for Garrus, they both also have an attack useful against both armor and barriers.
(11:18:56 PM) ColDougMcKnight: So I DID get some use out of warp in the suqad.
(11:18:59 PM) ColDougMcKnight: squad, even.
(11:19:27 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I really need to play ME2 again
(11:19:32 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Oh, did you ever bring Garrus and Tali onto the Citadel?
(11:19:34 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: And a renegade femshep ME1
(11:19:51 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Can't remember.
(11:19:55 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Garrus starts up a nice nostalgia conversation.
(11:20:12 PM) ColDougMcKnight: "Do you ever miss those conversations we used to have in the elevators?"
(11:20:14 PM) ColDougMcKnight: "No."
(11:20:31 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: HAHA
(11:20:32 PM) ColDougMcKnight: "Oh, come on. You'd tell us about life in the flotilla. It was a chance to share."
(11:20:37 PM) ColDougMcKnight: "This conversation is over."
(11:20:47 PM) ColDougMcKnight: "Come on. Tell me about your immune system!"
(11:20:52 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: People ragged on the elevators, when they were disguised loading screens. Now they rag on the loading screens.
(11:21:00 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: I thought they were clever.
(11:21:23 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Yeah, that was good.
(11:21:45 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I know I'll find the gameplay clunky, but I'd actually like to play the original again some time.
(11:22:44 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Yeah, it's still very good. Amazing that ME2 makes it look terrible when it was awesome.
(11:23:45 PM) ColDougMcKnight: I'll admit, I DID get tired of the same old layout on side missions in the original. They improved on that a bit in the sequel.
(11:24:57 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Most definitely.
(11:25:59 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Anyway, I better get going. I'll try to remember, an hour early next time!
(11:27:23 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Yep, I'll announce it!
(11:27:29 PM) VAdmBlackthorne: Woohoo,more sleep :D
(11:27:35 PM) ColDougMcKnight: Night, then!
