Ian Blackthorne: what
Cmdr Shelev: there's no coke machine in this room
Ian Blackthorne: It's okay, there's
a full bar instead.
Cmdr Shelev: I'm designated driver
Ian Blackthorne: No you aren't,
Ensign Redshirt is.

7:35 PM
MajDougMcKnight: (Evening, folks.)
MajorAZinthys: hey
LCdr TKirr: Heya
Ian Blackthorne: Okay, looks like
it's six for tonight. Let's get this ball rolling.
Cmdr Shelev: ::TWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET::
MajorAZinthys: ::comes to attention::
MajDougMcKnight: ::AA::
LCdr TKirr: ::AA::
Ian Blackthorne: Okay, tonight we're
quickly finishing as much as possible of our tasks and getting the Xindi convoy
underway. Questions?
7:40 PM
MajDougMcKnight: Nope.
LCdr TKirr: I forget where we were O.o
Ian Blackthorne: Each department had
been given specific tasks to help get this convoy rolling.
Cmdr Shelev: doesn't matter; all the work was to be done in
logs by now
Ian Blackthorne: Yep. So now that's
getting wrapped up and we're about to move out.
Ian Blackthorne: If there are no
further questions...
Ian Blackthorne: BEGIN SIM
Ian Blackthorne: BEGIN SIM
Ian Blackthorne: BEGIN SIM
LCdr TKirr: ::stands at Science on the Bridge::
Ian Blackthorne: ::enters the
bridge: Commander, are we ready to move?
MajorAZinthys: ::Standing at Tactical::
Cmdr Shelev: We? Yes. They? Hopefully. Depends on how much
control Tagan has over his rioting ships.
Ian Blackthorne: Get him on the
horn.
Cmdr Shelev: ::Raises Tagan::
7:45 PM
MajDougMcKnight: Tagan> +Bridge+ Tagan here, Atlantis.
Ian Blackthorne: Ready to move out?
MajDougMcKnight: Tagan> All ships report warp cpacity
restored. There are still reports of unrest on several ships, but the food
shipments have helped. With your marines assisting our peace keepers, we
shouldn't have anything so serious as to
MajDougMcKnight: cripple us to worry about. Not for now, anyway.
MajDougMcKnight: (capacity)
Ian Blackthorne: How fast can your
ships make?
LCdr TKirr: ::triple-checks the shipment status
ship by ship::
Kiley Airell: ::walks onto the bridge, and then
takes a seat::
7:50 PM
MajDougMcKnight: Tagan> ::Frowns as he looks over his PADD::
I'm afraid that's the bad news, Admiral. Cargo freighters weren't designed for
dashes. The best speed the fleet can make as a whole so as not to leave behind
the slower ships will be
MajDougMcKnight: warp four, and that only for a duration of 12
of your hours. After that, we'll have to drop to a speed of not more than warp
2, to allow for engine cooldown.
Cmdr Shelev: ::gulp::
Ian Blackthorne: Alright. Make
ready, warp four, course heading 243 mark 3. Departure in five minutes.
MajDougMcKnight: Tagan> Asknowledged, Atlantis. Tagan out.
7:55 PM
Cmdr Shelev: +Shipwide+ All departments, ready for departure
in five minutes.
Ian Blackthorne: ::turns to
Zinthys:: Here's where the fun begins, Major.
MajorAZinthys: But of course.
MajorAZinthys: I love escort duty. ::tries not to
roll his eyes::
Ian Blackthorne: I need a formation
designed to protect the weaker ships.
MajorAZinthys: Which ones?
Ian Blackthorne: The cargo ships.
MajorAZinthys: Oh, those weak ships.
Cmdr Shelev: The semi-weak ones will be fine for a while.
MajorAZinthys: I'd suggest we travel in a sphere
and place them in the middle.
Ian Blackthorne: Agreed.
8:00 PM
MajorAZinthys: Since they're so slow, we won't
need to move them around no matter what direction we get attacked from.
Ian Blackthorne: As for Atlantis, we
should be in a rotating formation with their strongest ships.
MajorAZinthys: ::nods::
Ian Blackthorne: Commander,
coordinate with their captains.
MajDougMcKnight: ::Aboard the Gurnal, commanding a squad of
marines handling security while the last of the foodstuffs are transferred to
another ships:: Let's hurry up people. I don't plan to get left behind when the
rest of the fleet mju
MajDougMcKnight: jumps to warp, even if we do have all the food!
Ian Blackthorne: Major, is it
possible to link tactical consoles with their warships, such as we do in
Starfleet?
Ian Blackthorne: I've commanded an
entire fleet of Federation ships, but never such an assortment of different
ships.
MajorAZinthys: No, sir. Their ships lack that
capability with each other, so nothing short of a complete overhaul could make
them talk to me.
Ian Blackthorne: Oh well. We'll have
to deal with it.
8:05 PM
MajDougMcKnight: ::Helps out with an anti-grav sled, dropping
the last of the food off in the docked ships cargo hold before rushing back so
the connection can be severed, and both ships can get into position for the
warp jump::
Ian Blackthorne: T'Kirr, how are
their supplies getting distributed?
Cmdr Shelev: ::Hails the Serdith::
MajorAZinthys has left this chat.
LCdr TKirr: The medical supplies are done. The
last of the food is being shuttled by one of their smaller ships.
Cmdr Shelev: ::A haggard Xindi huminoid appears on the
viewer; the doors to the bridge appear to be barricaded.::
Ian Blackthorne: ::checks the
clock::
Cmdr Shelev: Serdith CO> DON'T LET THEM THR- Serdith to
Atlantis, how can we be of service?
8:10 PM
Cmdr Shelev: I apologize, am I interrupting something?
Ian Blackthorne: ::eyes the viewer
with interest::
Cmdr Shelev: Serdith CO> Ahem, nothing we can't handle,
Atlantis. There seems to be a slight misunderstanding with the command
structure at the moment. Rest assured we're following Tagan.
LCdr TKirr: <<lol>>
Cmdr Shelev: ::A loud bang is heard and the doors to the
Xindi bridge shake visibly.::
Cmdr Shelev: I was informing you that we will be getting
underway in five- no, four minutes. Can you slave your navigation system to
ours by chance?
Kiley Airell has left this chat.
Cmdr Shelev: Serdith> Yesterday we could have. For now,
we will need to input coordinates manually.
LCdr TKirr: ::raises her eyebrows, yet doesn't
look up from her console::
Cmdr Shelev: ...What happened today?
Cmdr Shelev: ::Serdith CO glances at the door to the bridge
and looks back at the viewer.::
8:15 PM
Ian Blackthorne: ::Wonders where the
hell the Marines are::
Cmdr Shelev: ::On the Gurnal::
Cmdr Shelev: Ok, then! Our coordinates for the first leg
will be 243 mark 3. Do you have weapons operational so you can act in a
defensive role or do we need to send some security forces over?
Cmdr Shelev: Serdith CO> Our weapons are still quite
firmly under our control, Atlantis. We have the situation handled; there's no
need for non-Xindi to spill their blood for us. We will be underway in four
minutes. Serdith out.
Cmdr Shelev: ::Connection drops.::
Ian Blackthorne: And I'm a Tiberian
Bat.
MajDougMcKnight: ::Having facilitated the last of the food
transfer until the next stop, waits for the Tenjan to get clear, then beams
back to Atlantis with the rest of his squad::
Cmdr Shelev: Major, I don't think the Serdith needs to be in
the initial defensive formation.
LCdr TKirr: ::looks up:: The supply distribution
is complete.
Cmdr Shelev: Admiral, McKnight's team is aboard. Anything
you need them to clear up in the next three minutes?
Cmdr Shelev: Besides the Serdith, which will need more than
three minutes?
Ian Blackthorne: ::opens his mouth
to say something about the Serdith, then closes it agian::
Ian Blackthorne: Get the ships in
formation.
8:20 PM
Cmdr Shelev: ((where did z go? ))
Ian Blackthorne: (Dunno)
MajDougMcKnight: +Shelev+ Commander, pleased to report that we
shouldn't have any more food riots until we make our first pitstop.
Cmdr Shelev: +McKnight+ Glad to hear it. Get accustomed to
the layout of the Serdith for that pit stop.
Ian Blackthorne: ::smirks::
MajDougMcKnight: +Shelev+ Sir?
Ian Blackthorne: T'Kirr, tie into
tactical.
LCdr TKirr: ::does so::
Cmdr Shelev: +McKnight+ They claim they have control of
their weapons. The explosions in the background, not so much.
Ian Blackthorne: Zinthys's spherical
formation, have the Xindi form into it.
8:25 PM
LCdr TKirr: ::nods and makes it so::
Cmdr Shelev: +McKnight+ Nothing to worry about, really.
Except that the captain on the viewscreen is a different captain from
yesterday.
MajDougMcKnight: +Shelev+ Well, that's pretty darn
disconcerting, sir. The Serdith is one of our escrot ships, isn't it? The
cruiser? If there's any danger of losing that kind of firepower to a mutiny,
then waiting until we have to make a stop
MajDougMcKnight: seems like a bad idea.
LCdr TKirr: All ships appear to be complying with
formation.
Cmdr Shelev: +McKnight+ We've taken them out of defensive
position. Once we're moving we'll worry about it. Any more holdups and we'll
have even bigger problems.
Ian Blackthorne: One minute to warp
speed.
Cmdr Shelev: +McKnight+ And given the shape of these ships,
the pit stop is going to be a fair sight sooner than planned, mark my words.
LCdr TKirr: ::sends countdown to ships::
LCdr TKirr: All vessels standing by for warp.
MajDougMcKnight: +Shelev+ Yes, sir.
Ian Blackthorne: Warp four, execute.
8:30 PM
LCdr TKirr: <<Me helm, too? >>
Ian Blackthorne: ((Well with four
people you're doing about half the work. )
LCdr TKirr: <<Makes ships go fast>>
LCdr TKirr: :: ::
Ian Blackthorne: Are they all
following?
LCdr TKirr: Aye, sir.
Ian Blackthorne: Wonders never
cease.
Ian Blackthorne: +McKnight+ McKnight
to the bridge.
MajDougMcKnight: +Blackthorne+ On my way, sir.
8:35 PM
MajDougMcKnight: ::Heading out of the transporter room, takes
the lift up to the bridge, making the other schmucks wait for the next one down
to the security office::
MajDougMcKnight: ::Shortly, heads out onto the bridge, making
his way to Blackthorne's seat:: Sir?
Ian Blackthorne: Serdith could pose
a risk to this entire convoy, as could any of their cruisers.
8:40 PM
MajDougMcKnight: Agreed. Getting a team over there at warp will
be difficult, but not impossible if we match their speed closely enough. I
haven't had time to familiarize myself adequately with their crew roster, but
if I recall, the actual
MajDougMcKnight: military presence aboard is somewhat less than
the number of civilian passengers they've had to take aboard. 2 runabouts full
of marines SHOULD be adequate.
Ian Blackthorne: I'm prepared to
declare martial law if necessary.
8:45 PM
MajDougMcKnight: It's unclear as to whether declaring martial
law over the entire fleet will be necessary just yet. But there's no question
that those armed ships are vital to the security of this convoy. We can't allow
anything to impede their
MajDougMcKnight: operation. It may be we should be prepared to
put a permanent security presence on all of them.
Ian Blackthorne: It can be done on a
ship-by-ship basis.
Ian Blackthorne: And it will be.
Ships that fall out of line will be brought back in to keep everyone safe.
Ian Blackthorne: PAUSE SIM
Ian Blackthorne: PAUSE SIM
Ian Blackthorne: PAUSE SIM
8:50 PM
LCdr TKirr: ::pauses::
MajDougMcKnight: ::Pauses as well::
Ian Blackthorne: Well, we got it
moving, even with just four left.
LCdr TKirr: Were you wanting to get moving earlier
in the sim?
Ian Blackthorne: Doesn't matter,
we're moving!
MajDougMcKnight: Yes we are!
Cmdr Shelev: YAY
Ian Blackthorne: Now hopefully we'll
have enough people next week to do something exciting.
8:55 PM
MajDougMcKnight: My fingers shall remain crossed.
Ian Blackthorne: That's all for this
week. Commander?
LCdr TKirr: ::has the feeling she'll be in a
fighter::
Cmdr Shelev: Dismissed!
Ian Blackthorne: Th-th-th-that's
all, Folks!
